Seasonal work contracts in Italy
Seasonal work contracts in Italy |
As is known to all, the Italian authorities open their doors every year to a large number of immigrants for the purpose of seasonal work in the fields of tourism and agriculture.
In this article, you will learn how to register for seasonal work contracts and the conditions that you must meet, as well as the conditions that must be met by the employer, and you will learn about the period you will spend in Italy with a seasonal contract and other additional information.
If it is important to you, read the next few lines very carefully.
How can I register myself in seasonal work contracts in Italy?
This is a wrong question, why?
Simply because it is not you, as a job seeker, who registers on the website of the Italian Ministry of the Interior
Unfortunately, there are sites and videos that explain how to register, and this is a false fact.
The reason is that you can already register on the site, but no one will care about you, so who are you? And with whom do you work? What is your tax number...?
This site (i.e. the Italian Ministry of the Interior site) is not a job search site, so don't waste your time registering and waiting for the wind?
The right way is to find an employer residing in Italy who will accept your employment with them on a seasonal contract.
This operator may be Italian or an immigrant who resides legally and has an investment that wants to bring workers to him.
And if he accepts your employment with him, then you must present it to him
Your full name;
Date of birth;
A copy of your passport, and the validity period of your passport

Where did you get this passport...?
After that he is not the one who takes that information and records it in the Ministry of Interior, so don't let anyone fool you with fake steps.
In other words, he is the one who registers you, not you who registers.
Therefore, if you have a relative in Italy or someone you know, this is the opportunity to help you immigrate to Italy by looking for an employer for you, or occupying you with him if he has a project.
Submitting an application for seasonal work, then, as we mentioned, is from the employer and not from the worker.
The application is also made online through the website of the Italian Immigration Office through the link referred to above.
Note: The site may be suspended now until the Italian government announces the start of registration.
What after submitting the application by the employer?
After the application is submitted by the operator, he must obtain the nulla osta document from Prefettura within two days from the date of submitting the application.
The non-obligation document known as nulla osta is issued by the employer when the following conditions are met:
That his income adequately covers all his family needs;
To be covered by social security;
That he has paid all taxes imposed on him;
Not have a criminal record;
To provide a suitable home for the foreigner who will work for him in the agricultural or tourism sector;
Requirements for a foreign worker:
Not to be in Italy illegally, or at least (he was hidden from view and they did not take his fingerprints previously);
Not have a criminal record in Italy;
That the employer registers him among the names he wants to occupy with him.
If a person does not respect these conditions, he will not be accepted even if his employer fulfills all the conditions.
If all the steps we mentioned are available, the operator must enter the Ministry of Interior website and register his name and information, as well as the name of the foreigner and his personal information, or thus he has completed the conditions required in the application.
Duration of residence with a seasonal work contract in Italy:
It is possible to reside in Italy through seasonal work for different periods of time.
Where it can start from one to two months and may reach 9 months, depending on what the operator desires.
Anyone who enters through seasonal work must leave at the expiry of the time specified in the contract.
Is it possible to renew a seasonal work contract in Italy?
Unfortunately, your seasonal contract cannot be renewed, and anyone who convinces you otherwise is definitely wrong, so be wary of any deception.
Whoever entered seasonal work contracts in Italy cannot benefit from the renewal if he is still present in Italy.
Therefore, as we mentioned, he is obliged to leave Italy as soon as the period specified in the contract expires.
But if the employer wants to employ the person again, the worker can return to his country and submit an application to migrate to Italy again through the upcoming seasonal contracts, and he will have priority in acceptance.
Whereas, the Italian authorities grant to persons who have previously entered Italy and respected the concluded contract the priority of re-entry.
The person who respects the contract becomes trusted in the eyes of the Italian authorities and thus can enter again through the seasonal contracts with ease.
Upon the expiration of the residence permit for the purpose of seasonal work for the second time, the person has the right to convert this permit into paid work and through it he can obtain a specified or indefinite employment contract.
This allows him to obtain residence papers in Italy:
