How to choose a NOC code for the job
There are a lot of people who ask and want to know what is meant by the Noc code and how to choose the appropriate Noc code for the job in Canada.
Well, let me make it easy for you, the Noc code is the classification of jobs into categories according to the tasks of the job, and a code has been specified for each of these jobs. This job classification system is called the National Occupational Classification - NOC. In short, we will call your job code as "Noc Code".
If you are going to submit to Immigration Canada during the Express Entry program, there are certain conditions for the code:
- The job category is 0, A, or B.
- The code’s tasks match your job’s tasks.
How to choose the appropriate code for your job to immigrate to Canada?
1. Enter the Noc Code in search page in the official immigration website. Click here
2. Type your job name in the filter items field.
As you type, search results change automatically from themselves, and you may see results that do not match your job name but are close to yours.
The job code is next to the job name in the results under the Skill level or type column.
3. Click on the job title NOC Title to open the (Noc) Code page in a new window.
I recommend opening the code page in a new window because there may be more than one code for your job.
Make sure that the tasks mentioned on the code page match your job tasks, and if they do not match in whole or in part, you should search for another code.
4. After you opt for the appropriate code, make sure that the category of code is 0, A or B, and if the job category or code is not one of the following categories, you should search for another code for a job with similar or close to job positions.
